JobShop.com is the web-based partner of a diverse marketing
group who began helping American manufacturing back in 1974. The Group’s sole
focus is to assist the OEM engineer and buyer in finding the right technical
information and quality Job Shop vendors in a total-lowest-cost
mentality.
We fight for America First and for keeping American
manufacturing strong. We have seen how the right North American
vendors can successfully compete when technology, quality, delivery, access,
and cost are all factored into a project. Our 2,200 vendors are North
American-based job shops, only. Off-shore outsourcing is not our specialty and
you will not find reference to those vendors in any of our outsourcing tools.
These tools consist of:
-
Regional tradeshows - Job Shop Shows, Inc. (since 1974),
-
Regional publications; Job Shop Technology Magazine (since 1984), and
-
Internet search portals; JobShop.com (since 1996).
We’ve produced over 200 tradeshows, showcasing thousands of
quality vendors to hundreds of thousands of outsourcing specifiers from the
nation’s top product companies. They believe in and have come to trust the
job shops we attract as high quality, dependable experts that can truly get the
job done as promised.
Our magazine reaches over 100,000 subscribers across the
country. We take great pride in our editorial and technical content - it has
fulfilled a serious need in the engineering community since its inception. Our
aim has always been to inform, involve and educate our readership about the
challenges, solutions and advances in custom contract manufacturing.
Our Internet portal began when the Internet was still young and
has grown with the technology. Our content has changed over the years to match
the needs of our Users, mostly Engineers and Buyers from the OEM looking for
assistance on an outsourcing project. Their input has helped bring about
features like real-time RFQ’s and CAD file translation, all with the
proper systems in place to
protect the designs and other intellectual property of the OEM and Job Shop
alike.
The following quote by A.J. Sweatt, (Editor, MMS; Modern Machine
Shop-online) comes from their 2003 Guide to Metalworking on the Internet:
“JobShop.com is an excellent resource with one of the best online directories
of job shops.”
We may be on the right track, but you must decide if our
Internet tools really match your outsourcing needs and answer your
technical questions. If not, we hope you will
Contact Us so that we can re-tool to solve your problems and to
meet the ever-changing needs of the outsourcing community.
